 First Black Howard Co. Asst. State’s Attorney

       & Baltimore City District Court Judge

 

   In 1981 Hon. C. Yvonne Holt-Stone became the

   first African American Assistant State’s Attorney in

   Howard County.  Judge Holt-Stone was appointed

   to the Baltimore City District  Court  bench in 1991

   where she has served for the past 16 years.

 

   Judge Holt-Stone’s judicial appointment in 1991

   made her the second African American female

   judge  in the entire State of Maryland.


   Prior to her District Court appointment, Judge

   Holt-Stone served as a Juvenile Court Master in

   Chancery in the Baltimore City Circuit Court from

   1981-1991.
