              District Court Judge


   In 2002 Hon. Pamila J. Brown was appointed as

   the second African American Howard County

  District Court Judge by Governor, Parris

  Glendening.   

 

  Judge Brown formerly served as Chief for the

   Maryland Department General Services and as

   Deputy Counsel for the State Highway

   Administration and the Maryland State Treasurer

   litigating complex cases on behalf of the State of

   Maryland with distinction.

 

   Judge Brown was an unsuccessful candidate for

   the Howard County District Court in 1996.

   Throughout her legal career Judge Brown 

   consistently exemplifies the highest levels of

   involvement in Maryland bar associations,

   professional committees and community service

   organizations that is unmatched in by almost

   no others in the entire Maryland legal community.

 

   Judge Brown's commitment to community service

   in all facets of her life stands as a timeless

   testament to the highest standards of excellence
