  Law Offices of Georgia Goslee

Georgia Goslee began her legal career as the first

African American lawyer to open a private law

practice in Howard County, Maryland in 1983.

In 1982 after two unsuccessful Howard County

   judgeship appointment attempts, Goslee gained

widespread notoriety for her pursuit of a Baltimore

City  Supreme (Circuit) Court judgeship during a

heavily contested election primary against Kenneth

Lavon Johnson, Esq.. According to the City Paper of

   Baltimore:

“ Goslee was seeking to diversify the Baltimore City

Supreme (Circuit) Court bench by becoming the

first African American female on the Baltimore City

Circuit Court bench. Goslee garnered 55,000 votes

during the primary election and raised more than

   $20,000.00 in a well organized campaign “.

    (City Paper)

Goslee has been widely recognized in the community

as an aggressive litigator; a leader in the fight for

equality; has enjoyed extensive acclaim as a talk

show host on WJZ’s Square Off and Sunday Live

programs; and as a former federal prosecutor, and

   legal commentator (City Paper)
